Richard Branson Space Travel

Billionaire Virgin Galactic founder Richard Branson salutes the bravery of test pilots, and vows to find out what caused the crash of his prototype space tourism rocket that killed one crew member and injured another during a news conference in Mojave, Calif., Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014. Richard Branson surpassed Jeff Bezos by 9 days to become the first entrepreneur to launch his private spacecraft. His Virgin Galactic rocket jet has launched on a 1.5-hour journey. Before inviting paying passengers to an onboard coming year, the billionaire said that he wants to assess the trip.

Space travel is emerging after a many-year break, and it’s going to become extremely competitive. Seven richest persons have paid to tour the International Space Station (ISS) in the 2000s. However, this journey, which was planned under the supervision of the Russian space agency, came to an end in 2009.

There are a number of innovative projects now. Along with Sir Richard’s strategy, Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk are also working on their space launch ideas. and they also have tested their space flight with the commercial crew.

Flight Experience

During the first phase of the journey, a twin-fuselage plane lifted up together with connected spacecraft named Unity in front of many people, including his family members. At a height of around 8.5 miles (13 km), Unity separated from the main spaceship and started its engine, achieving a speed of more than three times the speed of sound, when it penetrated the boundary of space.

The high-speed spacecraft Unity took them to a height of 86 Km. After some minutes, sir Richard and the other crew experienced the zero gravity and stunning look of Earth. After spending some minutes at the edge of space, the spacecraft Unity fly back to earth.

As his Unity Plane touched down, people applauded, leaped into the air, and hugged. Then he came out of the plane, he raised his fist and raced toward his family, greeting his wife and children. Virgin Galactic has already done 3 flight tests into space with crews of only two or persons.

Future plan

Approximately 600 people have deposited an advance fee worth up to $250,000 for tickets. These persons have to wish to witness the black color sky and wonder at the Earth’s boundary as it bends away from height. They should get roughly 5 minutes of low gravity on this trip, that they’ll be able to float inside Unity’s cabin.

Sir Richard has done many efforts to reach this position. He first time shared his idea to make a spaceship in 2004. He predicted that his plan to go into space will be accomplished in 2007. However, some technical issues, such as a deadly crash of a research flight in 2014, have turned the space mission into one of his most difficult dreams.
