How space travelling changed Jeff Bezos

Jeff-Bezos

Jeff Bezos expressed how he felt after travelling in space. He started a Bezos Earth Fund in 2020, and the pledge came through that. The Amazon founder started this fund to execute his $10 billion commitment to fight climate change. Thus the donation is granted for the people who are fighting climate crisis. Such as the activists, scientists and other non-funded groups in support of this cause.

Climate Pledge Event

On the event that was held in New York city for “The Climate Pledge“, Jeff Bezos addressed the people about how space travelling changed him. “Nature is our life support system and it’s fragile”, said Jeff Bezos. “I am reminded of this July when I travelled into space aboard Blue Origin. I’d heard that seeing the Earth from space changes one’s point of view of the world. But I am not preparing for just how much that would be true.”

As the founder stepped down in July. Jeff Bezos concentrate all of his time now into his other initiatives. Such as the Earth Fund and his space company the Blue Origin. And he travelled on his Blue Origin spaceship at the end of July.

Fund utilization

Tropical Areas

Tropical Andes regions and Pacific Ocean and Central Africa’s Congo Basin are the focused areas where the funds are in use. Because they are the key areas of biodiversity and carbon stocks in vegetation, soil and oceans.

“The natural world is not better today than it was 500 years ago. When we enjoyed unspoiled forests, clean rivers and the pristine air of the pre-industrial age,”. Bezos explained that how we should and must reverse this anomaly.
